FRP daylighting tiles have the characteristics of light weight, impact resistance, yielding ability, and easy assembly and transportation compared to traditional glass materials. Currently, they are widely used in storage facilities such as industrial plants, commercial and civil buildings, as well as public buildings such as aircraft terminals, subway stations, and train stations. With the advancement and replacement of science and technology, FRP daylighting panels have become an energy-saving, low consumption, strong UV protection, and more robust and stable building material that can be seen everywhere.
The construction method of FRP glass fiber reinforced plastic daylighting tiles may seem simple, but in reality, there are also certain requirements. Generally, the installation of the frame of the fiberglass daylighting panel can be carried out after the basic purlins of the roof are installed in place. The size is calculated according to the actual width of the fiberglass daylighting panel. Any slight errors during this process are not important because the size of the square tube is not small, but the error generally cannot exceed 30mm, otherwise it will affect the normal installation of the color steel plate and easily lead to rain leakage due to improper installation. The width between the installation of the frame is generally about 1.5m, and the length is about 1.1. After welding the frame, we require the flatness of the frame and it should be relatively firm.
After the skeleton is installed, the installation of the fiberglass skylight panel can begin. Usually, as long as the first two parts are done well, this step is much simpler. One thing to note in this step is that the quality of self tapping screws used to fix FRP lighting tiles must be guaranteed, and the use of stainless steel self tapping screws must be waterproof to prevent rusting and affect their service life.
During the construction process of FRP daylighting tiles, the following points should be noted:
1. After the installation is completed, reserve a position for the daylighting board; Construction gradually progresses from the eaves towards the ridge direction. The daylighting panel is directly fastened to the side wave crest of the steel plate.
2. Before fixing, the skylight panel must have a pilot hole with a diameter 6-9mm larger than the diameter of the fixing screw, to be used for thermal expansion and contraction.
3. When the daylighting board and steel plate overlap longitudinally, there must be a 200mm overlap and two water stop strips must be attached.
4. When fixing the skylight panel, a good waterproof gasket must be used to place it between the screw and the skylight panel for waterproofing and dust prevention.
5. After inserting the flood washer into the screw, lock it into the purlin with an electric drill to complete the fixing work of the lighting panel.
6. During the construction of the daylighting board, it is strictly prohibited to step directly on the wave crest to avoid cracking of the daylighting board. A 1200mm x 300mm (length x width) anti slip thick wooden board must be placed in the horizontal position of the daylighting board, and the guiding hole and fixing screw work of the daylighting board must be carried out by stepping on it.
